Another Person(s) In Edmonton Damaging The Hobby For Every One Else....

I just received notice of some recent activity in Edmonton of some guys metal detecting at a historic site. When someone approached this group, to tell them about the significance of the historic site and that they should "NOT" be digging holes here, words were exchanged and that person was told to FUC__ - OFF. Great :rage:....... I have lots of contacts in this city, as I have been involved dealing with parks and recreation for about 35 years. You can bet that things like this will get addressed at city council meetings, and could jeopardize the hobby here, and possibly be a template for other cities. Please, be considerate to other people when approached by strangers for dialog about the hobby.

Losing spaces to detect can happen anywhere!

Well said John!! It just takes a few jerks to ruin it for everyone!

What a shame !

Wouldn't you just like to take a digger and, well, put it some place. Sorry suckers! HH jim tn

Bad attitudes cost all of us. Even if I'm in the right and someone is trying hassle me, I give them the benefit of the doubt and be nice. Always be nice. It's hard as can be sometimes and stay the heck out of historic parks. Not only does this put all of us in a bad light, but it could cause a PLB if they talk like this to the right or should I say, wrong person. PLB=parking lot beating. That's why I sent the letter to the historical news to let them know a**holes don't speak for all of us and certainly don't represent us.
