I got off work at 12:30 today and BadJim met with me to do another door knocking session, 1st house no answer, 2nd house knocked, got permission. It was an old farm house, once again for those people who think farms don't have coins...think again!
First couple hits were wheats, then got 2 indians, then I got a 8" deep solid 11-47, I was thinking silver quarter but it turned out being a WELL worn LC, and this baby is smoooooth! No date at all, and you can barely make out the image...but it still counts, for another penny trifecta, second one within a 7 day period. Also got a third indian, 2 rosies, and a 1918-S merc to keep the silver streak alive, that makes either 16 or 17 straight hunts with silver!
There was not a single clad coin in this yard! Gotta love places like this! Jim did pretty good as well, getting several firsts for him. So 3 indians, 3 silver, Large Cent, and 7 wheats for my total. The big round thing was a beat up makeup compact, large brass hinge, few shotgun shells, face of a lock and the tag that has M.W. & Co...no idea what it is??
