I posted for the first time a couple weeks ago when I found an 1836 Large Cent at an old ball field. Well today I was at a local lake with a big dam where an old village used to be. While I was down there I wasn't finding much and I ran in to some nice old man walking his dog. He lived there when the village was still there. He brought me to the wooded area where the old school house was. It was tough to detect because it was so grown in but I detected on a path that went through the schoolyard. Within about 10 minutes I found an 1839 Large Cent. I'll be going back there tomorrow.
