Another Nickel Day

Well got back out today while it was cooler out . Didn't find a lot but found a few more Nickels one quarter and one penny . Did find one older Buffalo nickel date just about wore off but I think its a 1929 can just barely see the last two numbers if you blow it up . Had one 66 and one 63 nickel also . This old hunted out park I am hunting is slow pickings but persistence pays off in the long run I guess. I'm old and slow so this is about two hours work in this old hunted out park for me , had my share of pull tabs also .

Fantastic Harold! The Buffalo nickel is a good year that's close to my heart. You're getting those nickels pull-tabs out of there and maybe one of these days you'll find a gold ring. Thanks for posting and stay cool!

Do you have the copperheads where you live? My relatives live live in the South-Western part of MO and they've got them down there. :yikes:

HH, Nancy

We do have copper heads and Rattle snakes both but not many around town they stay in the country and heavily wooded area's mostly .
I was hunting local city park its mowed short and no brush lots of big old Oak trees with shade under them . Park was started here in 1926 . Last two years I hunted around the swimming pool area in this park and took out over 100 nickels from just around the pool and parking area across from it . Who ever hunted this park had the nickels discriminated out I would say .

I'm glad you don't see any of the snakes in the city. Hopefully with all the nickels they left, they left a few gold rings too. :wiggle: HH, Nancy
