Another nice iron relic......

Just back from vacation for the holidays......did I miss anything?? :)
Finally gut back out & I brought Bill Henderson...the twin cover boys dad, to one of my Colonial cellar holes. It has been pounded hard, but we went to dig out all of the many iron targets that litter the area hoping for a nice tool or trade axe....
Looks like Bill was lucky enough to bag a nice early musket part...maybe even Revolutionary? We also each got 2-tined Colonial forks which were nice too....I used the F-4 & T2.
I took his gun part home & told him I'd preserve it for him...it's cookin' in my electro bath as we speak. Here it is after poppin off some surface rust (The first step to get good contact & speed up the process).
Anyone has a positive musket ID please fire away......pardon that pun:)
I'll post some "after" pictures later....this will conserve nice!
