Another newbie....To the F5 that Is!

Todd.

Hi everyone! I've been reading these forums for a few months now gleaning all I can on the Fisher detectors and decided I would try the F5. Only had a chance to use er' a few times because the ground is frozen and nothing short of a chainsaw is getting through that ground although the weather isn't too bad for this time of year. Maybe next month I will get to take it out and really get some hours under my belt. What I've done so far with it though I must say I am quite happy!
As a matter of fact I took it to a ghost town (in Nevada) and with all those iron nails and bit's of iron I was very impressed with how it handled all the junk....I ran fairly high disc. and 2 tone (I wouldn't have picked up a $1 or $2.50 gold coin) but dug everything not notched out and found a silver thimble that I missed with the Compass (my ghost town killer for junk).
Anyways thanks Mike Hillis and all other Fisher enthusiasts for helping me make a good choice!

Hi Todd, That's what I found that you can read the ground so well. I use tone 3 and that's enought tones for me and I don't end up with a headace.
Good Luck with yours,
Joe.

Hi Todd,

Glad to hear you picked the F5 and are liking it.

HH
Mike
