Another New E-Trac Owner To Be Here

waynembx

New member
Hi Every One,
New guy here,
Name is Wayne from S.E Iowa,
I have been checking out this site for some time now and just had to go for it,
I have been a Whites DFX and MXT user for a few years now and i do like the MXT but i want DEEPER as we all do and the E-Trac looks like the one to do it.
I have ordered the E-Trac with a extra 6" coil and lower arm and the DX-1 Probe for it as i would not be with out one,
And i have the book by Andy Sabisch coming also so i think I'm set as soon as we get some nice weather.
Should be here Friday and can't wait to get out with it and learn it.
I will be using it for coins and jewelry hunting and I'm ready to start digging.
Wayne

Good luck with it man. Mine will be here tomorrow I switched from fisher, cant wait to try the e-trac. I needed depth and a good recovery speed so that was my reason for buying it.

Guys;

When you get your E-Tracs, simply start off in the standard coin mode and hunt, hunt, hunt. Remember to noise cancel, and to trust the machine. If you haven't already, order Andy's book and read it thouroughly. I've been MD'ing ovr 30 years with Fishers & Garretts, and I can tell you with certainty that the E-Trac is in a different league. You may want to consider a longer digging tool, as the E-trac targets are really deep. Learn the machine and you will never go back to other machines.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip,
I do have the book bought.
And you just know this would happen,
The etrac will be here on fri and i have sun and mon off work and was planing on taking it out for a go,
And what do i see on the news now, about 4" of snow on sat night and sun morning.
Just about all the snow has melted and now it looks like more will come.
The ground is still frozen but as long as there's not a bunch of snow I'll go out.
Only hope it will pass us as I'm tired of it and have not went detecting yet this year due to the weather.

Good choice for a machine and good choices for accessories. I be lucky! I don't have stuff around as old as on the East Coast, but the 'hunting' season here is twice or three times that of the East Coast as we have miserable rain but not as much snow and ice.(At least on the West side of the State) I hunted 3 full days this week while out of town. The new e-trac showed up today and the snow is a falling,
Guess i'll just read the Manuel and watch the dvd.
Has to warm up someday.
