Hello
Yeah I'm new. I bought a BH202 to find the lost sprinkler heads in my yard about 5 years ago and put it away till last month. It still worked!!! Thank God, it's out of warranty now.
Any way. I started taking my son to the beach and hr loves to find pull tads, soda tops and twist ties but I'm starting to think that I'm comfortable with the fact that I'm one of those old guys I used to watch and wonder if he ever found anything of value. So I have a couple of questions.
Where can I get another owners Manuel and CD. They didn't make the move. With them I could figure out the Notch thing.
I live in Bradenton FL. and would like to know if there are any good areas around?
Not just for me but so my wife can see that all that swinging that thing around on the beach is actually worth something.
I'm sure I'll have more questions but that will get me going.

Thanks in advance

Rick

Stinky, welcome to the forum and congratulations on the discovery of a great hobby. For starters you can download the manual for the Quick Draw II (same machine as the 202) at the www.detecting.com website. Follow the path: products>download manuals. I bought the 202 almost 5 years ago and it has never let me down, it hates to pass up any coins. Become familiar with how to get the most out of it, listen to what it's telling you and you will not be disappointed. You'll find lots of good stuff. As far as the instructional video that comes with it...you might be able to contact BH and get one. I've got my copy somewhere up in the attic. If you can't find one anywhere else let me know and I'll see if I can find it. They also have an online tutorial at the detecting website. Hope this helps. You're going to love that machine.

welcome 2 the hobby. and yes there are a lot of places around bradenton Sarasota area remember the circus was based there for years if u could find those old spots would probable be fruitful and all the Beach's siesta key and what have u do a little research it'll pay off

Thanks for the info Dirt. The owners Manuel will probably explain the use of the Notch feature. Good to know that it is a good unit to. Everyone on this forum are so helpful and nice, unlike a few others I have visited.

Thanks Rick

Thanks RR. The old Ringling Circus Winter grounds in Venice by the airport would be a good place to start. Thanks for the ideas.

Thanks Rick

hey stinky, welcome to the hobby and great web site. any questions you have can be answered here! it will do you well to check out as many previous posts here as you can handle; contained therein is a lot of knowledge and talent talking from experience. we got a lot of good and helpful people here too. dont forget that the spanish settled all over florida from the 1500s and up. the sky is the limit in florida. good luck, and hh,

You know with Gasparilla Parade this weekend in Tampa I bet I could find more than Spanish Dollars after the celebration. We have a beach hear ( Holmes Beach ) Where there is a small ship about 500 yards offshore and every year after hurricane season something is found on the beach. Last year I remember something about an anchor or bell was found. Thanks for the ideas.

Hello Stinky and Welcome to the group...
Your gonna love your 202, and you have one of the best states to detect in right under your feet.
I am uploading the Pioneer 505 video to Photo bucket as I type this and will put the link in my next post.
As stated earlier, read all you can take in on this forum, and there are a few others that have great folks on them too, such as Treasure Quest Forums...bunch of great folks over there, and there is always a contest going with chances to win great prizes.

HH,
