Worked the A T along the edges of a patch of woods this morning and worked my way out to two magnolia trees to see what might be under them. Once under their canopy one can actually stand up. They are tough to swing under, though, as they drop some pretty good sized cones and tough to get the coil down on the ground. Anyway, got a nice screaming 90-92 reading and thought, maybe a silver quarter or half, if I was lucky. From about 3" I popped a hefty mens sterling ring. That was my 3rd keeper target dug. The other 2 were recent dropped Memorials. Over all, ended up with a few pieces of clad and cents and 2 nice period pieces of lead and 2 wheats, 45 and 54, besides the ring. Not a lot of targets, but won't complain.
Took two shots of the ring fresh from the ground as there wasn't great light under the ole magnolia. HH jim tn
