Went for solo spin today with the Excal at an area, where there have been silver keepers showing my last 2 times there. Winds were 5-10 from the south, water was clear to waist deep (mostly unheard of for Galveston), was in the water by 730A, into an 1127A 0.9H and then a 331P 0.7L. Was wetsanding/gridding all day, mostly, but baled off in the wadda a couple of times, but only worthwhile targets were a nickel and a sinker out there. Many targets in the wetsand, at this location, but lots of iron too, so I had to go slow. I go slow anyway mostly! Ended up with $2.18 in clad.

Had one of those penny medallions, a stainless watch clasp, a copper junk clip-on earring and the .925 ring. At 1st glance, I thought the ring was a silver cross pendant, but after cleaning the sand off of it, discovered that it was a filigree ring, which had been run over or something. This day last year, I had 2 silver rings and 2 gold! My how times have changed! Have not seen gold my way, since 12/03, YES I'm whining! Baled at 5P and I was hammered! This wetsanding is REAL HARD WORK!
