Bought a tumbler from Harbor Freight to clean my clad with. I searched the forum on how to clean and one common bit of advise was don't clean pennies with clad. well I left 3 brass coins in the tumbler and this morning I opened it up to find my clad had a brass coating.well I changed the water and put some Ajax in and tumbled for 2 hours . well thank God it cleaned the brass coating off.
 
Oh yeah that happens, forget to take yer clad out , and let em tumble couple days with aquarium rocks, makes some funny lookin pennies:biggrin::biggrin:
