I got out this morning for two hours before the rain started and got another Indian Head. I have just finished my second set of batteries and this detector is amaazing. In one month, I have had my best year ever for Indian Head pennies with 18. I wish I could say I don't dig much trash, but I do. For anyone just starting out with the AT, it will lock on a coin with very little bounce in the numbers. I have found the Indians to hit in the 66 to 73 range. Beaver tails will also hit in this range, but the numbers will do a bounce, say between 73 and the high 50's. Coins will only vary one or two number most of the time. Also got a 1924 wheat penny. I only found 10 coins total with two being older. This seems to be the pattern of most of hunts. The places I detect are hunted hard by many people. For me, finding one or two older coins and less clad is more satisfying. For the record, I have only found three silver coins, with two being Barber dimes. Elton, if you are reading this, take your new AT Pro to your trashiest rusty nail pit. You will quickly find out what an awesome detector the AT is! R.L.
