Another "if in doubt, dig" tip

Occasionally we get a response that bounces around on the display as different coins with a junk indication or two as well. DIG - often you'll end up uncovering a coin spill with coins of mixed denominations in the same hole or close together.

So true Barber Bill. I came across that a couple of weeks ago. S-W-E-E-T. Great advise. Thanks and HH, Nancy

Even if it is not a coin spill, there is a lot of interesting finds in the ground besides coins.

I second that advice Bill. Have had a that same experience a few times in the past month. VDI's in the 50's or 60's with a little "bounce" in the reading have given up coin spills. Sometimes working the coil over from different directions will give up a coin reading flash. I guess we need to be suspicious of all signals.

Suspicious or curious. Quite often I've gotten a signal that just didn't seem right - sort of confusing compared to the good solid tone or ID we hope for, but not the obvious junk tone or ID. Seems like every third of fourth time I retrieve one of those it turns out to be something good so I check quite a few signals I used to pass up.
