Another Hunt in the "Rust Jungle" 3/22/2011......(Video)

It hasn't been the best winter season here at the Jersey Shore but there have been some scattered hunts after some small events.....this time around it was a few days of stiff onshore winds coupled with a "Super Full Moon" that managed to strip sand off of one of our heavily iron infested beaches.....all I can say is that we were in the right place at the right time....enjoy the video.....Brian

Here is Chuck's ring before and after it was cleaned....It is 18k with initials inside from a wedding. On the top is initials in that calligraphy sript. On the outside is "Died Nov. 14 1909". It looks like it was a man's wedding ring that was cut and had the initial plate soldered in after someone died. You never know what history comes out of that place.

Great video as usual Bri! I feel your pain though, they are about to renourish our beaches too. That will be the end of a decent run here.

another fine production...... amazing how the coolest finds come out of that iron infested sand...... must take a good bit of skill and patience to hunt that scrapyard...... thanks for sharing....

As I mentioned in prior posts I have hunted that beach before. Challenging is a good word for it. I can hunt there , but in small doses. When you mention iron in your videos I don't think some of the hunters out there comprehend how much you are talking about. Is Dan really down to a five inch coil on this hunt? How comes I never see you swinging your Sovereign?

Very nice finds SD... I love finding the oldstuff as it seems you all do as well ;)

Nice finds Brian and nice video as usual.
Chuck's signet ring cleaned up real nice.

Hi Goodmore......I made a mistake....Dan was using his 8inch sunray coil.....My GT is going to the shop....I have a connection problem where the coil wire meets the control box....so I have to use my excals for now....oh well....I guess it could be worse!
