Another hunt and more gold for the DeLeon and me.

Went back to the park I hunted yesterday as I didn't cover much ground in the two hours I was there. Once again plenty of clad to keep me busy first nice find was a hematite bracelet with the sales tag still on must have been dropped by one of the vendors over the the weekend. One of my coworkers that is new to metal detecting showed up and I gave him a few pointers and it off to do what the D does best sniff out gold. I was taking my time and checking any and all low signals and bam the DeLeon hits the kind of signal we were after 14 - 18 solid 2" deep drove my screwdriver in the wet grass and hit my target first try opened a small hole and pulled out a nice 10k arrowhead pendant. Then the rains came again so we wrapped up another nice hunt, can't wait to see what tomorrow brings the DeLeon is hot!

You have mastered your detector and it shows with all the gold and silver you have found. Very impressive !

Nice find! You're making me want a Tesoro DeLeon.

Lot of good it would do me. I've haven't hunted for several weeks, because it's either too damn hot:ranting:, my sinus are screw-up or I'm out of town.

I can't wait to get my Golden uMax out again. It scored a gold ring for me the last time I took it out for spin the park.:detecting:

How's does the weight of the Deleon compare to the uMax detectors as far as swinging it goes?

Deleon is heavier than the Cibola (8xAA vs a 9v) but other wise it is light, as the extra battery weight is under your elbow, and I don't notice it at all. And that is after reconstructive shoulder surgery a couple years ago...

Super find!!!! I really like that point...and GOLD too! Chalkl one up for the D.
