Finally after working 12 days in a row i got a day off! I met up with Jim and we decided to go hunt some nice house sites that have produced in the past..
And i'm glad we did... After finding many scrap pieces of metal.. I finally a=came across a signal that sounded perfect! I think it was reading around 46 or 47.. I might be mistaken.. I dug down and immediately seen a nice fat edge sticking out of the dirt... My heart was beating so fast.. I grabbed it and realised that i had found my second large cent.. A 1829  That definitely made my day,,, and made a great day off of work!
Thanks for looking

GOOD FIND ON THE LARGE CENT ,AND BOTTOMS :twodetecting:

Nice large cent Derrell !
The oldest large cents I've found so far are 1846 - 1848 & 1849.

I also found a few old copper buttons that look similar to the ones in your photo's on the same old cut stone home site.
One of these copper buttons has a Civil War era looking cannon on and stack of cannon balls on it.

Happy Holidays ! --- Mark

1829! for gosh sakes, thats a damn fossil, not a coin. I'm going to take up fishing again! Great coin Darrell, how deep was it. Congrats buddy.:clapping:
