Another hobby I got into...

last semester. The river was calling my name after staying away to dig in dry ground. I started tying some flies to help keep my mind off tobacco and now I have quit and actually caught a few fish on the flies I tied. The cool thing is that fly tying opened up all kinds of doors to learning. I skinned out and dried my first fox tail over the winter and have enough hair and dubbing material until this winter. I found the fox dead on the road and only had to cut off its tail. I also have no problem when the cats kill a bird or on hits the window. I just pluck out the feathers I can use and check Youtube for some tying videos. I also met up with some great tiers who also know more about bugs (I think they are called etymologists) than anyone I have met previously.

As Elson says, "Life is good!"

Have a good one!

My buddy Cole lives right near the Delaware in Deposit and we try and get together every year for a little fishing.

This is one my buddy Cole caught this year the day before the Fourth of July.

It's great catching a trout on your very own fly that you tied. I'm sure most people just don't understand..
