ANOTHER Hit!! Secret weapon paid off !! Almost unbelievable

scubadetector

New member
Well actually it is unbelievable!! Took my canoe to another beach and played yesterday, You know its going to be a GREAT day when the first coin you find is silver. Well lets say on these two dives I found more old coins than new ones!! And the RINGS!! Every time I pulled up a ring I thought NO WAY, This has to be one of my better hunts lately. When you find a park full of old things its the greatest even if there are not many targets. So here goes.

3 gold rings all 10K, one is a class ring from 1924 Holy Name Institute Detroit, 2 gold filled rings, (YECH!!) 14 silver rings, 3 silver crosses, One walker half 1936, 4 standing liberty, 5 Washington, 15 silver dimes 1 barber 1912 10 mercs and 4 roseys, 2 war nickels and another 1898 indian penny and 35 wheat cents.

The most interesting thing I found was a Prohibition Inspector badge #25. HOWEVER, when I picked it up it disintegrated. It was in perfect condition laying on the bottom. I have NOO idea why it was so thin. I kept the pieces but when I got out of the water I forgot it in the canoe cause it was dark. Still bummed about that!!

The old cars are awsome!! I love things like that. The racer lost a tire and the windshield holder is smashed down on the 3 fin one but that seems to be the extent of the damage. The metal isn't broke anywhere on any of them. Got to love those belltones on the CZ-21!! You just never know what it is.

8 quarters, 4 dimes, 11 nickels, and 17 houses were the rest of my coins. Can't wait for trip #6. Sooo big of lake and so many private parks, This is going to take up my summer I think!!

Nice hunt again...continued success on your
future hunts. Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

It has an old auto on the top, an indian in the center with the word SERVICE above it, under the indian it says CRAFTSMAN and under that says PONTIAC. Might have been a designer for Pontiac that got it? Interesting, The other big silver ring is an indian chief. very heavy ring. Haven't cleaned the insides of either ring.

OK found it online. ;Here is a clean example!! 1930's or 40's

That's a pretty cool ring!! Prices varied from selling from $125 to $342!! Seems to be rare and collectible! Sterling ring and the emblem on top on all the examples I seen were Gold! Definitely a keeper for the collection.

Congrats!

That ring was issued to mechanics during the 30's & 40's. Usually 10K gold. Kind of rare. Some have gone as high as $450. Mechanics got them for being a mechanic on Pontiacs for 10 years.

Nice ring.

Thats the Chieftan emblem for Pontiac and a Service Crafstman was most likely an expert Pontiac Mechanic. Might have been issued when completing training or years of service.. Just a guess though.

Excellent finds!! I would be happy to help you anytime on the lake!! keep on detecting there because you seem to be definitely on a winning streak and my bet is that lake may not have been detected before? who knows what else is waiting to be found!!!!...very cool and very exciting!

Its got silver and old gold in 1' of water. I have been snorkeling and diving. Heading there tomorrow first thing. Will probably stay and use up 3 tanks. A bit over 9 hours. Any day in the water is better than a day at work!!

Lets see if I can find some new treasures!! I want a Thompson submachinegun!!!!

Hello

Looking forward to hear from you your experiance in scubadiving.Iam a diver to.More experianced in finding crashed bombers from ww2 and shipwrecks in Europe.
You have any experiance with the excal2 ? I read about the cz21 but to many different storys and a lot are not diving experiances.

Best regards,

The Excal is a wonderful machine BUT here in Michigan I am diving in VERY shallow water. Sometimes less than 3' , and most the time no more than 10' UNLESS I dive on shipwrecks here or in the river getting two pound fishing sinkers. They get me a dollar each. I need to hear boats coming. The CZ is silent unless you hit a target. The Excal is always making noise. If I can hear a boat I can come up and make SURE its not about to run over me. Most boaters in the inland lakes do NOT know what a dive flag is. I am having two black silhouettes of a diver put on each side of the white stripe on my flag. Hopefully that will help!!

The second reason is I love my machine hip-mounted. A lot lighter and so much more maneuverable. My pinpoint button has been deactivated at my request by First Texas and I absolutely love how my machine works with the 10" coil. Anyway you asked for my 2
