We were able to get out detecting again and the weather couldn't have been better. The ground was easy to dig after having 2" of much needed rain. I came home with 1 silver. It was a stamped "STERILING SILVER" size 11 thimble. It was in excellent shape. I also found a couple of wheat cents and then another flat thimble that I'm guessing is made out of aluminum. Had a lot of fun playing in the dirt again. Thanks for looking and HH, Nancy

I love those old thimbles !! Its on my bucket list as I have never found one... Awesome job Nancy!!
 
Thank you Jeff. I was really jumping for joy when I saw it. I think I'll take a polishing clothe to it (since it's not a coin) and see how it cleans up. HH!
