Another Great Day in the Dirt - 4...

Went next door to the empty lot again today for about 3 hours with the AT Pro. Found two Washington quarters (1942, 1944), 3 mercury dimes (1941, 1942, 1944), three buffalo nickles (dates unreadable), one Indian (1907), nine wheat pennies (1919-1941) and one SHIELD NICKEL (date unreadable ). Washed the shield nickel with soap and water, but still couldn't read the date. Oh, and a pocket knife. I really wish that the ground here was not so hard on non-silver coins. Its quite clear that there was some interesting history on that small piece of land. The 1930's and newer coins are all on the front of the lot and the 1860-1909 coins (found two V Nickles last week - 1884 and 1907) are all near the treeline on the back of the lot. Every time I visit the site, I feel like I cleaned it out - then I go back and ALWAYS find more! :detecting:

Great finds Shayne. Try hunting it from different angles. This detector will root out the coins from the trash like no other.

nice loot..
