Another good walk today... After we got the car really stuck in the mud!! :):

Went up to Bridges point today and we tried to drive right out to it. BIG MISTAKE!!!. The frost is coming out of the ground and the roadway there was a mire. So, naturally, we got slimed in. However, with some diligent pushing, and wrangling, we freed up the car, moved it to higher ground and set out for a walk.

we found these points [not all are complete, as is obvious, but that centre one is obsidian. A very nice point and quite rare up here.

You have some beautiful points thar, buddy. The points with the tips gone are what my archeologist buddy calls "impact fractures." Makes sense now that I think about it. I just always thought they were casualties of a rookie point-maker and were fractured during the forming process. Not so says my knowledgeable buddy John Riggs. He's not like ANY other archeologist I know. We actually get along and hunt together!

Thanks for sharing. Linda and I must come up there in '09 and maybe by then the place will have grown a few more. If Royal comes along, we'll let him carry them out for us.
