Stopped after work for another 3 hour hunt. Still a ton of iron being pulled. Here's the good stuff...

Here is a closeup of a fragile brass eagle folded over. I may need the "brass doctor" to repair this one. Can anyone ID it? Is it an early Dragoon hat pin or possibly a Hardee hat pin?

Here is a mystery item...any ideas? It's broken on the top as well as on the bottom. Someone said it might be to a knife which it very well could be. Your thoughts...
