Well the permission I got the other day on a pre-1900 home was put to good use today as I and my 12 yr old hunting partner Shay spent 8 hrs detecting it. Shay is the son of a friend of mine and has been interested in MDing for about a year now. He recently purchased a Garrett Ace 250 that he used on this trip. I have been hoping that he would come up with some good finds and he did.
Shay got the IHs and I got the silver. Shay ended with a total count of 11 wheats, 2 IHs, 11 mem pennies. The IHs are dated 1880 and 1890. The dimes are 1946, 1939, and a 1924-S.
Our total take for the day. 81 total coins,47 mem pennies, 26 wheats, 2 IHs, 3 silver dimes, a little clad, 1 silver ring and half of a locket.
A real nice day. I hope Shay got juiced up enough to stay with the hobby.
