Another gold ring...#3 for January 2015!

REVIER

Way out in the middle of nowhere near the woods in a huge park I managed to get my coil over this ring.
Unbelievable luck, but considering this is my 3rd gold ring this month the whole year has been lucky for me so far.

Came in as a solid 30-31...a dead on nickel on the F70.
This is no nickel.
2.5 grams of 14k.

I hope this month never ends.

3 gold rings so far! WTG:thumbup:

Sweet!
Theres usually a method to your madness when it comes to gold hunting, so this nice trophy was way out where no gold should be huh? I guess gold is where you find it!
Nice hard 'nickel' signal you just could not ignore! Really cool start for this year!:clapping:
Mud

Mud, a little skill, a great tool and a lot of luck.
I can't explain it any other way.
Not really looking for gold last year but I still managed to find 5 great targets.
I now have 3 with only about 2 weeks hunting time total for the year.
I think 2015 might be another great year for me and the F70.

I'm still convinced that the earth swallows all gold where I live. In the last 6 years I have dug exactly 1 gold ring. Plenty of gold-plated copper that has almost completely eroded, but only the one pure ring.

And I dig all repeatable signals and pull at least 3 trash items for every coin. I always dig pull-tab signals and foil signals, and they are pretty much always pull-tabs and bits of foil.

But I have found lots of old silver and copper in those ranges, so it's not a complete waste of time.

Luck, luck, luck and more luck...and a little skill.
Our coils are so small. the area we search is so big, the targets we seek like gold rings are so comparatively tiny so it is a wonder any of us find one of these things in the dirt....anytime.

That's a dandy! Looks like it might be big enough for a guy to wear. I have big fingers but most of the rings I find are ladies' or girls', not that I'm complaining. Gold in any form is great.

Been reading and watching all those posts and here's what I have to say ....
"You keep that up and you are on your way to opening a jewelry store! ...lol

A big congrats on your finds!
