Another fractured femur...

...Sarah called me at work this afternoon to tell me Carol was taking Brian to the hospital. He was playing kickball with his best friend and his cousin and she said he planted his left leg pretty hard on the driveway to kick the ball and it snapped. He was in his wheelchair and when I would play with him he would press on the arms of the chair and plant his left leg to get more strength for kicking the ball farther. The x-ray confirmed the break. The fracture is on the top of the bone and stops at the rod. The rods prevent the bone from breaking completely in two and help limit the pain. Carol just called and they are on the way home now.

So sorry to hear about Brian having another fracture! He is in my prayers, as well as all of you! May our dear Savior and blessed Lord heal him quickly! My heart grieves for him and your family, as you all have had your share of trials! Bless his heart and tell him I said hello and will be prayiing for his feeling better and for his healing!

God Bless!

Truly glad that Jesus' comforting arms surrounded him and helped him get a goodnight's sleep! Will continue in prayers for Brian, you and family!

...Brian is doing great. We took him to his orthopedist today and instead of casting him he put him in a brace until the fracture heals...the cast would have gone from his ankle to his pelvis and would have been very uncomfortable. He is sleeping in the recliner and I'll sleep on the couch in case he needs anything.

Thanks for your prayers!!

Good to hear that for Brian's sake of being more comfortable.......Isn't God wonderful to answer our prayers so he wouldn't have to have a cast! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus!

God Bless!
