Another Fisher screw up!!! This time it affects me....

Sent my F75 in for the upgrades. Fed Ex drops of my upgraded detector or so I think. Open the box and it is NOT my detector! I got someone elses detector that has no upgrades done and has been very well used! Mine was pristine! Called Fisher and they are looking into it. How do ypu like that for Fisher Service. At least they did get the label with my address correct. I know they will correct it but.. Seems to me they are either flooded with detectors and are overworked or they have some very undedicated employees working there. Hey I know everyone makes mistakes but it seems like you are hearing more and more of them in regards to Fisher. Sorry to vent but it p@@@ses me off!

I bought mine used from a very reputable dealer . He double boxed it and sent it by UPS . UPS managed to get what looked like 3 deliberate Karate kick holes through both boxes ( right on the control box ) . I guess the bubble wrap saved the controls and kept them from getting scratched or marked .I've had the detector for a few months now and it still works very well ( surprisingly enough ).
I was very reluctant to send it in for the upgrades for that reason alone .
Now I will not send it in unless the unit has a breakdown . Thanks for informing us Robo .In my opinion this is another good reason to have several detectors from different companies . I'm sure Fisher will make it right but my condolences on all the hassle you will have to go through .
