snagged this earlier this morning on a short hunt. a deep nickle (1990) howd it get there ?? one wheat, and This bad boy. The elusive SlQ ....Very clean date fully readable all stars in tact ...Just a real blessing. The heat is dying down, I dug one square nail one washer and one piece of odd-ball small meatl also. Man the sovereign is one mean machine.....

Nice Standing lib quarter. These are the best looking quarters ever made and one with it a date is rare.

Rick

just to the right of the date next to the M is where I barley nicked it with my digger, you can barley see it in the pic, an otherwise almost flawless SLQ ........I really was shcoked to see it so clear when it popped out,the area is total dirt no grass right under an enormous walnut tree,It came out right around 6 inches target id was bouncy but tone was solid lock as a coin,

It is a find I have been wanted to make , I never dreamed the condition would be this good . I think it was you that said they should be called slicks because when you find em they are slicker than greese and thin as a razor. Next Find on my list is a gold ring with the finger still attached ..............Peace ..........

I was right there , It really hasnt been until this last 6 months that the deep finds have been a consistant thing , It takes dillegence and a little luck , just always say to yourself , am I in a good spot to find silver, and constantly be on the look out for new spots ,think out of the box if need be , I only recently started asking strangers for permisson to hunt there yards , I get shot down sometimes ,but when I get the green light its always fun and most of the time rewarding , the people I have encountered along the way have been unique and in some cases a real challenge to deal with , Always go for having fun and with that I bet you will find yourself in a real good spot someday and the silvers will be jumping in you pocket. Try to find some good hunters in your area and try to go out with them, it will sharpen your skills and give you inspiration . good luck man ....
