My goal lately has been to find my first CW eagle button, mission accomplished!!! It still has a decent amount of the gold gilt on it, but the face is crushed a little, but I don't care, I think it's gorgeous!! I also pulled out my first .69 cal 3-ringer that isn't all chewed up, massive hunks o' lead they are! Found a "rich orange color" flat button in the same hole as the eagle button. The thimble is from a couple nights ago, always wanted to find one, has advertising for Star Brand Shoes on it. Anyway, hope everyone is getting a chance to hunt, weather is gorgeous here, high 50's! HH!!

Nice button even though it's a little beat the gilt makes it! Like the thimble too, it's another I'll have to add to my wish list.

After being soaked in oil a little more, you can see more of the guilding, the picture makes it look pretty crusty, but in person it looks a lot nicer. It was a silver thimble that was really on my wishlist, but this will do since it has advertising on it, love things I can do a little research on.

Found my second .38 Colt Navy Revolver round ball. The first one I found was my very first CW bullet.
Well, will have to put the hunting off for a bit, was in the high 60's yesterday, tomorrow calling for ice storm, then a possible 6-8 inches of snow after, then temps in the negs....brrrrr. At least I don't still live in ND, wouldn't get much winter hunting in at all.

You got it going on brother! Nice finds for sure!

Congrats on the finds , Bet that gave u quit the thrill finding those bullets, I like the thimble also.

Good Luck and Happy Hunting!!

Finding bullets is always awesome! But I think I was even more excited to find my first eagle button, they are a lot harder to find, even harder to find one in good shape, but hopefully I'll get one some day. Won't be finding one anytime soon though, we've gotten over 4 inches of snow this morning and it's not letting up til tonight, 6-12" total predicted, at least when it melts it will add some good moisture to the ground = great hunting!!
