After seeing all the great finds here of late I finally went detecting today. I said the heck with it I don't care how dry it is here. I finally found me a war nickel. A 1943P. If I'm correct this will make silver #2 for the year. Really setting the silver on fire this year. Yeah right.

Great find Robbie! I love seeing those nickels come out of the ground. Congrats on your silver find! HH, Nancy

Nancy, Don't tell Larry and Daryl. They both were detecting the city park and had to be super close to getting this one. Right on the south side of the horseshoe pit. It wasn't 2" deep.

 My lips are sealed! :look:

DON'T TELL US WHAT!!!!!! I hunted all around the horseshoe pit. Found a wheat but missed that one. Great save. I've only found one silver nickel in the past couple years. There should still be a few good pieces somewhere in that park. Good luck.
