Welcome to the club Daryl and congratulations..............:clapping:

Nice work, Darryl. Is this the same field you have been working on? If so about what percentage of it do you have covered?

Yes, its still the same field. I'm about 2/3 done with it and the corn is well past my knees. I can only hunt one row at a time and am using the 8x6 coil to try and get right up next to the corn stalks and between the ones that are spaced wide enough apart so its very slow going. I'll hunt it for maybe another week and then do it all over again after the crops are out.

Date??? You mean these things have a date on them? Wait a minute, let me go look at it again.:yikes: Wow, your right, there is a date on it and its pre Civil War. When it was lost it would have been in fine to very fine condition but all those years in the field have taken their toll on it. I have given it to Popeye's girlfriend Olive Oyl for safekeeping. She is trying to clean it up a little more before the next meeting.

Oh how cool. Can't wait to see it and glad Olive Oyl is keeping it save. Silly you!!!!

Sounds like there is still room left for some more good finds.
