Another engine to work on.............

Well,This 17 year old kid ( he live's just down the road from here ) came here and ask me if I could work on his VW engine.He want to build him a dune buggy too.People this engine is in bad shape.Frozen like a block of ice.I told him I would look at it to see if it can ever run again.Here is a few pic.What do you think ??

The is Kenny's boss.s VW,It's just running bad.I'll check it out.

My Nephew that live across the road from me was there when Kenny's boss brough the VW to me.He told the man when I finish with it to bring it to his house and he'll put that head light(light in the back of the VW ) where it belong.(He is a nut too)
 
I would suspect it will take weeks of soaking in diesel fuel to determine how much of that U-boat engine can be taken apart for salvage of the parts. Fortunately they can all be replaced. Looks like quite a bit of extra labor, to me.
It'll take a fortune in helicoils!
