Another dive without a detector.

Well not going to say why no detector except I made another mistake. So Off I went in Lake Huron without my toy. This place is all clay and potholes filled with rocks. I moved the big rocks and fanned my hand yesterday and found only one good target. I wasn't expecting much but was wonderfully surprised when I saw another walker on top of the clay under some gravel and sand. 1934 plain. This time I found more than Kevin! I can't think of anywhere else where you can wave sand and gravel away randomly and find targets!

At least I have a backup machine now and will be using it until my main one gets repaired again. Its not good to make mistakes with underwater machines!! TOO COSTLY.

Of course this will not work if it fried or was in saltwater.....GL

Ok Ok, last time I took it out I had to change the batteries (Monday). I didn't have my silicone grease with me. It worked fine. Fast forward to Wend. Went out on the boat turned it on and nothing. not a peep. Thought I left it on. Opened the battery compartment and yep water. Not a lot but enough to kill it. Got new batteries today and nothing. I am a bit LOST why it died completly. Since the battery compartment is sealed from the rest of the unit and it was off, something is strange. BUTI always have my container of silicone grease and I didn't put it in the boat. So I put the detector back in the boat and played in the sand and gravel pockets.
