Another Discovery about the outlaws no motion all metal

GunnarMN

New member
Turns out that i can tune out a nail, and still get a nickle in no motion all metal even at 1.5" from the nail but hear is the cool thing i can get the nickle at 3.5" deep and it will even ignor a small foil, this in no motion all metal, seems like the retune acts like a discriminator , but i still get the bottle cap, but this is cool , Say i want to hunt the soccer feild in no motion and wish to ingor all the boby pins and small nails by the way i was unsing a 2" cut nail-- then i can just set it to ignor the boby pins and small foil and get going looking for the meat of the feild the gold rings, I will have to do another video showing this strange phenominim.

Knock it off Gunnar. Your gonna force me to order one of these things!

wellthey are just tests, I would like to see what or how it works in the real world, but i see a real potential for 3 difrent kinds of hunting that may come in handy at one time or another , got to get rid of this 14" of snorw

Nice one Gunnar.
Keep collecting this kind of information and I see a book in your future.

"Secrets Of The Outlaw"
Gunner's Tips & Techniques

When i was a kid in the 70's,all TR/vlf detectors had a retune button on the end of the handle. Most detectors were more no motion based i think.Anyway this retune button had to be operated by the detectorist every so often to reset the threshold to the original setting.Old style detectors would drift away and you would have to hit the trigger button every so often to maintain a steady threshold. But detectors then became motion based vlf designed and the need for this retune button gladly went away.So what you are doing is re-tuning the detector back to your threshold minus - the hot rock signal. So it is called detuned now.You subtrackted the hot rock effect to bring back the original threshold. This true no motion mode on the Outlaw are the roots of past metal detecting.you may find a good edge while experimenting with this no motion and retune button combination. XD
