Went to a new place today, a small swimming area on the River not far from home. The land was donated to the county for a place for the local kids to swim back in the 60's. A rope swing was there when I graduated from High School in 1968.I know Morris has hunted there before, this was my first trip. Was limited to a small area to hunt, didn't want to stir up the clay bottom up stream from the swimming area will go back when school starts back next week and hit the entire area. Cleaned out allot of junk and some clad , found one Wheatie.

Morris, The water across river is up around neck deep at platforms edge. The kids said there have been a few pieces of jewelry lost out from the platform. I will check it out next time I go, they were swinging from the rope swing the entire time I was there. May go early in the morning before the kids get there. School starts back Monday. HH.
 
I like the Ideal of making it down to Miami,but right now that is not an option. A 12 hr round trip, but later on I will be able to make that trip. Right now to many projects going on. I do need to get back to the larger beaches, but in the mean time I just keep trying local areas, sooner or later I will run into a good one. Hope you make it thur the storms, that are headed your way, without damage. HH
 
I would be really interested in the area where the people who use the swing enter the water, and downstream of that. But, like you said, wait until early morning, or after school starts.
