Another day, another silver!

Hey all, managed to get out today for a hunt. Met up with a buddy from work who just picked up a BH. We met up at a school that I've been to in the past. My grandmother actually taught 2nd and 4th grade at this school years ago. The school was built in 1954. It was slim pickings for the first 3 hours. Finally my buddy's back was starting to hurt and he went on home. I actually stuck around and managed to fine one lonely wheatie. I decided to pack it in and head over to the park down the road from my house again. I started off again in the baseball field where I found the silvers last night. Again I used Pro mode with Zero discrimination and sensitivity running 1 bar away from max. I dug so much trash it wasn't even funny. I dug a lot of nickels today, hoping to find another gold ring here. Wasn 't meant to be. It was very dark and time for me to get going before the cops show up and harass me for being there past dark. I started making my way towards the car and came upon a deep coin signal. Unfortunately I couldn't check the numbers because it was dark out, but it seemed deep. Dug a 5" plug and couldn't find the target with the pro pointer. Scooped out another 2 inches of dirt and then the probe said it was another inch deep. Popped out a clod of dirt and I see shiney! Wipe her off and was tickled to have pulled my 2nd 8" deep silver dime, turns out to be a 1952 Roosie. Decided to call it quits, but not before I scored a 7" deep wheatie on the way out. The AT Pro is amazing. I still haven't gotten skunked yet and I've only owned the machine for 7 days now! I'll post a recap tomorrow of all the finds for my first week wiith the AT. Thanks for checking out my finds and HH :)

You haven't been skunked because you have the most important ingredient that's needed for success in detecting: pure, unadulterated stubbornness!!! :detecting:
You went back out after your buddy called it a day. :clapping:

Funny that you mention that, I actually got skunked tonight! LOL, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I stayed way past dark, coulda stayed longer if the mosquitos weren't so vicious :ranting:

Heh, just keeping you humble! We all have slow days. I had a one horseshoe day Saturday, but enjoyed the 5 hour hike. And it's been a great month -a couple gold rings, several silver coins, saloon token, cool tractor fob, early military buttons... persistence pays off. Probably sounds silly, but I always ask my angels to help me find a trophy.
