OK here goes:
The Edge field test features a hard to find 1871 indian head penny that I needed. I have saved all my indians over the years and have them all in a coin folder. It's fun to try to git 'em all, & I have done well with the fewer made 1870's (only lack 1870 & 1877 I think). Anyhow, for this contest, you must guess the date of a very common Indian head cent that has eluded me thusfar.....
Ex. 1870 (in subject line)
I will run it until Sunday night, or until someone puts the exact date down. Like last time, if 2 folks skirt around the answer I'll award 2 prizes.....

PS. this is "as dug" & I see great dark patina under that dirt & what looks like a full liberty. That's another fun thing about indian heads. There are some rare dates to go after.....
