Another Coinstrike

I hate to admit this, but I have started a second round of detectors. I have had so many detectors that I have almost lost track of them and I have only bought the same detector a couple of times. Minelab Explorers and Fisher CZ5's are in that category. I just traded for a Coinstrike and I got it today. I am not saying that I am an expert, but being poor, I can't have more than two detectors at a time. I traded my Coinstrike a couple of years back and I constantly think of that detector. I had super success with it and I finally got one back. I think that I have evolved in the hobby and am more open minded. That is, I won't stop tinkering with settings when I am successful. I think there is much more waiting than I gave it the first time around. It was one of, if not the best trashy site detectors that I have ever used and I never changed the settings on the first one. I know what works, but I am looking forward to tinkering this time around. I will keep you all updated and will listen to any and all advice from the people who have kept their Coinstrikes. Thanks R.L.

There were some places here in California that I couldn't even operate the C$ at 1 (sens). This was my main complaint. But 90% of the time it was okay at 7/15 to 5/25. I made some incredible finds in some worked out areas but just couldn't deal with the RF problems when working parks in the inner cities. The C$ was easy for me to operate and it has the best P/P system of any I've used I just wish it had a trigger like the 1266! I sold my C$ and now have an Edge. The Edge is stable everywhere and performs flawlessly. Maybe not quite as deep as the C$ its still a nice machine and works as well as the C$ in iron and heavy trash. The only thing that I wish the Edge had was a backlight like the C$ does. Enjoy your C$ it is a top of the line detector that will amaze you at times!
