Another coil question

I'm coming back to the MXT. Getting a used MXT Pro with the 950 concentric coil. Here's my question and dilemma. I know the 5.3 coil is a favored coil of choice but I'm getting the MXT to be my deeper detector as I have a Xterra 705 I'll use for my trashy area detector. My reasons are that I have physical ailments requiring a detector that isn't too heavy and/or unbalanced. Minelab's 10.5" Xterra coil is deep enough but also too heavy and unbalances the machine badly so I run my stock 5x10 elliptical on it. I previously had a MXT and though it's heavier, it is balanced better. That being said, I also think the 10" D2 White's coil is also somewhat heavy. Is the 10x6 elliptical a fairly deep coil or not any deeper than the 5.3. I am in an area where DD coils seem to work better than concentric coils. Would the 6x8 SEF butterfly coil be deeper? What are your thoughts taking all things into consideration on what coil would get decent depth but be a fairly light weight coil. All suggestions will be appreciated.

Since the 950 is included with your MXT Pro, give it a go. The 950 may work out to your liking and save you the cost of another coil. In my soil the 5.3 (6-1/2

If the DD/SEF coil seems to work better in your ground, the 6X10 and 8X6 are great coils with the 8x6 being the lightest of the two I believe. SEF will be a little more quiet on the ground noise and I have heard it is a little bit deeper than the 6X10. You do get more coverage with the 6X10 though. There are always trade offs.
