Some imbicile went to Vancouver's famous and old Stanley Park, from what my metal detecting club said, was that they dug up a mess to retrieve a copper type water fitting. The whole thing burst and flooded the park. Now no more detecting is allowed and the fine is $175.. oj

Not 100% clear, with copper at 3 bucks a pound could very well be copper thiefs, some sprinklers heads are visible from the ground cover, but at $175 for ticket, Stanley park is out of grounds for now....

everyone else. Lets hope they at least find out it was not a detector person. Might save some other areas for detecting. Maybe a junp man will notice it and question it if its in the papers.
