Got ya to look didn't I...????? Nope, not another Morgan unfortunately but I thought it was kinda neat and I've also never dug an Ike before. It's been a real slow grind for me lately and my last 3 privates have only yielded me 1 rosie, 3 wheats, and the Ike. The china coin, the other 3 wheats, and the buffie came outta the little park I've been working in between privates.........

Used the vinegar/salt, like I always do to clean clad, and man did the Ike leach out the copper and made for a real pink coin? Usually don't have that problem with clad dimes/quarters?

If I remember right the Ike rang up 1-39/40 where my last Morgan rang up 1-41 from all angles and was 4-5" deep, Ike was 1-2".

I'll be out again tomorrow and hopefully I can find a decent private somewhere, otherwise back to the little park......????

Congrat's on the good finds.

It sounds like your in kind of a slump but you know what, that next yard just might be loaded with all kinds of old coins and I hope it is. You just never know.

This summer has been my worst since I started MDing a lil over 10 years ago, but I keep plugging away at it. last weekend was my best day so far this year.

Those are some good finds there! Hey at least its a dollar worth a 100 clad zincolns to dig up!

Last year found one of those clad big ones in a tot lot of all places right under the swings. Musta been a rich kid carrying dollar coins!
