Another Barber dime from the woods

New member
The woods produces silver every time I go, at least so far. This is the total silver from 5 hunts in that wooded area, it sure beats the parks. The 2 seated dimes were posted a few days ago when I found them. Yesterday found the mans silver ring, no coins. Today found the 1905 barber dime, no other coins. The town next to these woods is pre Rev war, there has to be some really old silver there. But it is low land and it floods a lot from the river so maybe the older stuff is too deep to detect. I dug a few aluminum soda cans, they were covered with 4" soil, but todays dime was only 6" deep and its been there for about 90 years. I can't understand how these new cans get so deep so fast. Dug several horse shoes, they were about 8-9" deep. I'm hoping to find a silver bust coin there, it would be my first ever. ID Edge with 10" coil.

Looks and sounds like you are on a roll, keep it up.
