Another Backyard "Treasure"

This was one of my first finds with the Ace. It was about 3 inches deep under a tree. I believe that it is a suspender buckle with a piece broken off the bottom where the two tabs stick out. I don't recall seeing a buckle quite that fancy on suspenders or bib overalls, but it's probably pretty old. I went back later and looked for the missing piece but it's not anywhere to be found.

I took the buckle down to the local museum and the lady there was the one who suggested that it might be from a pair of suspenders or bibs. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine as to its origins. It is kinda cool thogh. I wish I could have found the missing pece off the bottom as it might have answered all the questions.Mr Gee
