Another Baber dime - this time the Compadre

OK here we go with the Compadre. A nice little unit, light, simple to use and seems to hit on the deep stuff. It chatters a bit when set down waiting but all it all fine so far. Here is a video getting that latest Baber dime, this time 1905.

This one is worn very smooth compared to the last. But the date shows clearly.

Nice, gotta love them compadres

very cool, I need to trade in one of my 5.75" for an 8" now, nice depth :clapping:

The Tesoro Compadre with the 8 inch coil kicks butt. The Compadre chattering a bit when you set it down tells me that its sensitivity is set perfectly. It running on edge to get maximum depth. Keep the videos coming for the folks who are knee deep in ice and snow.:detecting:

i dont know if you use headphones are not but headphones help a lot with the deep coins

I've got headphones from the Garrett that have the same plug. However since I like to be aware of things around me the headphones rarely get used.

nice find

Thus being the reason I am Modding mine to except different coils hope to get it done within the next two weeks parts ordered and Grandson the electronics expert is going to install it . I will post results when I get it back and give it a run. I have a brown 8 inch coil and the small 3or 4 inch coil and the 5.75 that will have the plug put on once the cable is removed from the housing and the connectors are installed to the housing

looks like you found that dime at a solid 8--9" deep thats really good , you know I bet the preset GB will handle a wide variety of soil to also looks like the dime was in circulation about 30 to 40 years nice video for the price that machine can find 75% of everything in the ground otherwise you would need a machine that could hit a dime at 12" I mean why bring a big 5 or 6 pound beast out when you don't have to . I think the Compadre has a place in your detector tool box

Sure looks like that 8" coil is doing a great job. Was the beep a very soft tone? Keep us informed on how it does. Good job... KEN
