Another AT Pro question...

Old Katz

New member
When I use my MXT too close to power lines or near a large micro wave dish
the MXT makes a severe chattering sound. I don't get that with the Ace 250.
Because the AT Pro is so close to the MXT in what it can do I have to wonder if IT TOO will
have the chattering when it gets too close too the power lines or micro wave dish. I know
the ACE 250 and probably the 350 has no problem, and I tink thats due to their having
different electronics?

Any comments?

Orion is right about the shielding of electronics. Also the MXT "is known" for being jittery. I would say it's the nature of your MXT. If you run an M6 in the same areas you will find it stable and quiet. They both are related and both run at 14.7kHz. However none of the current Garrett's to my knowledge has a reputation of being unstable or jittery. I would assume the AT Pro would be no different.

Thank you. It will be interesting to see how the AT Pro holds up the first few months
on the market. If there are any problems they should show up by then.
