Had a few hours detecting yesterday afternoon. Nothing but a single dropped musket ball till the deathknock, then just as I was about to come home (it was starting to get dark) out came a nice button with a boar, 1866 penny, George III penny and an 1855 Hanks and Lloyd token commemorating the opening of the Sydney Railway.....Thanks for looking..............Ken.

Nice finds Ken. I love the button! I once found a boar war medalion with a bushman on one side and Lord Roberts on the other. Very worn, but I took it to a reputable coin dealer and he told me that they are rare and had the coin been in better conition, it would've been worth a bit. I don't think I would've parted with it anyway, still have it.

G'day Marc and Golden. Hope all is well. Been a bit too busy to post lately but did get out yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours. Nothing spectacular, couple of George 111 coppers and Victorian halfpennies but it was a beautiful afternoon and just nice to be out swinging the coil in anticipation.:detecting:

Really nice coins Ken! I love the George coppers. What is the likely type of site you'd find them on?
