Not huge, (2.5 gr.) but brand new and still worth $100. Got it at a pounded site by working the edge with the Excal in a/m mode and selecting responses by size, (tons of caps), then checking the tone and conductivity range. A slow (although accurate) process but it's this kind of method that lets you avoid competing directly with the less patient while still working prime ground.

EXcellent hunting style, Very Nice gold.....

Coil size? thanks Obn

Nice finds Clive, and a good tip as well. Just letting you know that your tips and advice also work Downunder. HH

Nice color close to pure gold:thumbup:

Scale coin is a nickel. I also find that popping the Excal into Auto makes a lot of the caps signal weaker. I don't find it to be a good all metal search mode though.
