Anfibio very chatty

Hi guys. For those of you who own a Anfibio Multi, is it very chatty or quite? I went out and could not quite it down. Very chatty . EMI or what ? I ground balanced , try different frequency, plus offsets , and nothing. My brothers friend had a Deus and a G2+ was also being used. I was on a colonial site and my ground balance # was 78-82. In 2 tone it was crazy 3 tone was not as bad then went to 4 tone and it went nuts. Turn sens to 40 and started getting better. But I think I am loosing a lot of depth running it at 40. Also is your volume loud ? My Anfibio speaker is not loud on full volume. GS

Depth isn't everything and while I usually run my Sensitivity in the '90' to '99' range, a reduction to '40' is still going to provide very good performance, and might be what is called for if there is an outside offending EMI source.

3-Tone is usually the quietest Disc. mode for me, and I seldom use the 4-Tone or 5-Tone modes as I don't need the extra audio Tones, plus they can get 'busier' sounding when instability is an issue.

Well , it was way out in the woods , so the other guys detectors was ok. So I think EMI was not the issue. I think the detector has a problem. And 40 sens is not going to work for me. GS

Could be a coil problem. Do you have access to another coil for it? If not the coil then the unit probably has an issue. I don't own an Anfibio but I do have a Kruzer and it is stable for the most part. Hope you find out something.

I do have a few coils and going to check them out, I just didn't have them when I went out. I hope it is the coil and not the machine. If it's the machine then I want a even trade for another one and not wait until they fix it. GS

Some thing doesnt sound quite right...does pretty good in 4 and 5 tone in my high EMI yard...As good or better than most...

Calabash , your right. Something isn't right. I tried 5 coils I have for both the Kruzer and Anfibio, stock, 5" 5"x9.5 , 7" concentric and 9" concentric coils and all very chatty. Anyone know where to send the machine to get a replacement. I really shouldn't have to wait. It's brand new. GS

Yes, in 4 or 5 tone it gets very chatty. Unfortunately my ground is locked so really only got one hunt but it was a solid 8+ hours of running in 5 tone.

There appears to be no threshold in the five tone, and I noticed when over a solid target, it quieted down, or at least my mind though it quieted down. So realistically it worked nearly like a threshold to me. In the first 30 minutes i was concerned if i could handle it. But fortunately the last three to 4 years I've been running my machines more towards wide open. After the first half hour, i had no issues.

I believe running with a chatty machine is just a learned mental state. Nearly like running with a chatty spouse. You learn to tune out the irrelevant and it does not bother you at all.
