I've heard a lot about Andy sabisch book on the quatro and i'm wondering if it would be helpful for me? I have a safari, and I don't have a clue where to buy it or what it's called. Can anybody help? Thanks Vince

Vince,

Here is Andy's Bookstore

http://www.sabischbooks.com/

The title is "Mastering the Minelab Quattro"

Vince, I would definitely recommend his book. I read it twice and it is full of info. It is well written and very informative. I believe it will avoid frustration as you get to know your machine. Good luck!

But will it be right for the safari?

Vince,

It seems that, with the exception of the new coil, most of the changes from the Quattro to the Safari are in the programming and processor, so the majority of the book applies to the Safari. Andy's writing style is easy to read and understand and I found the book to be very helpful, especially the discussion of how the DD coil actually works and the section on cross-saving.

Definitely worth the small investment,
TomH

Thanks for all the impute and I just ordered the book ! Maybe one of these days I'll be getting finds like you guys. Vince

got the book a week ago and it's great. i learned a lot of stuff that the owners manuel didn't explain very well. plus i used a coin setting that andy had in the book and cross saving to change tones and its working great. thanks all for suggesting andys book and if you haven't got the book get it. thanks again Vince
