I'm relatively new at metal detecting. (about 2 yrs.) I've had a couple of detectors but I've never had anything like the Explorer SE. I was having a little problem with the learning curve. I thought it would be similar to the X-70. Boy, was I wrong!!! Someone on the forum suggested that I buy Andy Sabisch's "The Minelab Explorer & E-Trac Handbook". I would highly recommend it to anyone who was having any problems with the learning curve. The book sorts it all out in simple terms. I feel I can take it out & find some good targets. Thanks to Andy Sabisch for a "Great" book!

i have to agree gil its a great book for both the e-trac and the se i dont find many good targets but i do have fun with my myself and the se andy puts out a great book awsome .hh
