Andy Sabisch Explorer II book

Silverleaf

New member
I've been looking for this book for hours on the 'net. They must be as scarce as hen's teeth. Anyone know how I can find one? My hubby and I just bought new Explorer II's and several people suggested throwing away the Minelab manual and getting Andy's book, because it's better for beginners...and we sure are that(at least with Minelabs)! We're hitting the beach Thursday and will just have to wing it for now. We did get them set up for beach hunting by the man we bought them from, but we're still unsure of how to read the displays. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Hi Silverleaf

You might try Andy's web site http://www.treasurehunterstradingpost.com/storefront.htm

Hope this helps because it's a great book for the beginner, Our local minelab dealer gives a copy of the book away with every EX II he sells and it would have been a long learning haul for me without it.

All the best....Boony

Hi Boony,

Thanks for the suggestion to go on Andy's web site, but his store is closed for updating/upgrading?? I've put Andy's name in my eBay favorites list. I also went into the Dixie web site at another treasure hunter's suggestion but they don't have the Explorer II book. At least I'm assuming there is one, I have seen three other books by Andy on the Minelab, but not the Explorer II.

The book you are referring to is "Mastering the Minelab Explorer XS & S". It was written for the first Explorers but alot of the information applies to the Explorer II. I have this book and an Explorer II and it has helped alot.

Hi Lynda,

On the Andy Sabisch web site you should find a contact us Email Address, I have used this in the past and Andy does answer his Emails, I'm sure he would be able to tell you where to get a copy of the book, he may even send one to you.
This is his Email Address" infosvc@evenlink.com "

Hope this help, the book is really worth getting.

Regards.....Boony

Thanks! I emailed Dixie Metal Detectors and they informed me that there was NO Explorer II book. I'll order the one you have and hope it helps. We just watched the video that came with the detectors and that cleared up some things. We're going to a local beach tomorrow..our second time out. We've decided to just have some fun learning the sounds and digging a lot. The other technical stuff will come in time.

Boony,

Thanks for the info. I've found out that there is no Explorer II book. It's on the XS (I think that's the one). But everyone says it is good for the Explorer II detector. So-o-o, off I go to order it!
I'm going out tomorrow to a local beach (our second trip out) just to play and have fun with it. We watched the video that came with it tonight, so that helped!
